constitutes a Psychology Honours Thesis of student Isabella Mori at Simon
Fraser University. This unique thesis is based on research gathered through
focus groups and interviews with chronic pain patients ('clients') and
medical professionals, the majority being family physicians. Medical
Professionals may gain insight from this work which may also prove
interesting to people suffering from chronic pain.

This symposium focuses on recent human imaging findings regarding cortical
physiology and pathophysiology of acute and chronic pain states. A
major portion of the meeting is dedicated to solving technical problems
of imaging pain (especially using fMRI).
